Heritage Medical Center is the picture of health in Bedford County. The $50 million hospital opened in July 2008 on U.S. Highway 231 in the Airport Business Park, and replaced a nearly 60-year-old Bedford County Medical Center that was in a different location. The 100,000-square-foot center is across from Shelbyville Municipal Airport.
